Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Saddick Adams has downplayed assertions that he had a bad influence on his teammates during his stint with the porcupine warriors.

Adams signed a two-year deal with the Kumasi based club in 2017 but only played half season due to misunderstanding.

An earlier report in the local media suggested that, the former U17 goal poacher influenced the players negatively which subsequently affected the going of the club.

But in an interview with Angel FM in Kumasi, he rubbished such claims.

"I hear people say I am a bad person. I influence players negatively at Kotoko but that is not true"

Responding to claims that Baba Mahama used to wash his clothes he said, "What is wrong if Baba wash my clothes? I have always served some senior players at Ashantigold when I was a kid. If you wash someone's boot or clothes that doesn't mean you are a slave"

"I managed Baba Mahama when he was a child, I bought boots and jerseys for him. So when we all met at Kotoko it was like a family"

"So if the club sacked him because of me that is a wrong decision" he averred.
