Ex-Hearts of Oak forward, Gilbert Fiamenyo has rubbished public sentiments which claimed that he maligned his teammates during his days at the Accra giants.
Two seasons ago, the name of Fiamenyo was dragged in the mud when Hearts of Oak surprisingly sacked Coach David Duncan which many believe he was the cause of it.
According to reports at that time, Fiamenyo who was seen as the darling boy of the Majority Shareholder (Togbe Afede XIV) of the club was not getting enough playing time which necessitated the Duncan’s sacking.
However, last season, the club endured a lot of difficulties and Gilbert Fiamneyo was accused of maligning his team mates in front of the club’s management but the bulky attacker has vehemently rubbished those claims.
“I have never spoken to any management member about a particular player before. I challenge any management member who claims I have ever spoken to him about a player before to come out and prove it. I don’t do that,” Fiamenyo said.
“To be honest with you people, I don’t even have the contact of any of the management member let alone to call him. So all those who were saying that were just lying.”
“I only came to Hearts of Oak to do my job so I can’t maligned anybody. If I should malign my team mate, then it means I won’t get my bonuses because we won’t win,” Fiamenyo concluded.
