Former management member of Hearts of Oak, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa has disclosed that he predicted the club’s downward spiral long ago, but no one sought to find a solution.

Hearts of Oak are in danger of getting relegated as they sit just two points above the relegation zone. The Phobians' defeat to Asante Kotoko further sank the team from 12th place to the 14th spot.

Reacting to the team’s current woes, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa, who is now the Nasara Coordinator of the ruling New Patriotic Party, noted that he saw the impending danger long ago.

“I saw this coming long ago, and nobody listened to me,” he said in an interview with Frank Agyam.

According to him, Hearts of Oak are currently struggling due to their failure to build a consistent team over the years.

“Hearts is doing well when it comes to infrastructure; the board chairman and his board are renovating the secretariat and constructing pitches in Kpobiman. When it comes to the league and the pitch where the supporters must feel their club, they are not doing well,” Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa said.

He added, “In a season, we will change about two coaches. They will recruit 20 players, and at the end of the season, more than half will go, so you can’t build a team like this because there is no consistency.”
