In-form Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong is ruing over the chances he squandered in their 3-1 loss to Shaktar Donetsk in the Europa League insisting he could have scored twice.

Frank, 22, scored his fourth goal of this European campaign on Thursday and is top scorer of the team in the competition now.

However, he was disappointed with his match against Shakhtar.

"I should have scored twice," Acheampong reacted.

"I slipped away when I wanted to hit the ball. I hope my goal will still be important for the second leg."

"2-1 would have been a hopeful result, but 3-1 is a lot tougher. However, I still believe in it."

Frank Acheampong’s form has been hailed by the Belgian media as his goals have carried the side to this stage of the competition.
