Ghana striker Emmanuel Boateng has revealed that he received advice from Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan before joining Chinese side Dalian Yifang.
The 22-year old joined Dalian Yifang from Spanish side Levante on a three-year deal last month.
Before his move to China, the striker indicated he spoke to Gyan who had some spell in China with giants Shanghai SIPG.
Gyan left Europe for Asia to join Al Ain before making the move to China to play for Shanghai SIPG.
“Indeed, for me, Gyan is like my brother. He often gives me very good advice. Before I came here, I had a phone conversation with Gyan.
“He told me that if you feel good, then go. Go to the Chinese Super League to prove yourself. Gyan told me that choosing a Super League would not be wrong.”
Emmanuel Boateng made his debut for the Chinese side over the weekend in their 1-1 draw with Hernan Jianye and he is expected to start against Ghanzough R & F.
