A Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has expressed confidence in Ivorian coach Aboubakar Quattara's potential to succeed with the club.
He believes that despite the team's initial struggles, the coach is capable of turning the club's fortunes around.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe urged fans to be patient with the coach and not lose hope after the club's losses in the first two matches of the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
"I totally disagree with that. The coach has been given the freedom by the Board to select and train his own players, and that is exactly what he is doing. He tested the players before bringing them into the team.
"Losing two matches does not mean we have failed, nor does it mean the coach has failed. I strongly believe that with the way they are playing now, very soon, they will gel beautifully, and all the 'doubting Thomases' will see that it takes time to train players," he told Angel FM, as quoted by myjoyonline.com.
There has been significant pressure from Hearts of Oak supporters calling for the coach's dismissal.
However, the board has resisted these calls, believing that Quattara can make the necessary adjustments for the Phobia club to compete for titles.
Hearts of Oak will face Bechem United in their next GPL game, hoping to secure a win and revive their season.
