Former goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, Danlad Ibrahim has spoken out about the rumors linking him to various clubs both locally and internationally.

The ex-Ghana youth international is on the market as a free agent after concluding his eight-year tenure with the Porcupine Warriors, following the end of his contract last month.

In recent seasons, he faced challenges in retaining his spot as Asante Kotoko's primary goalkeeper, ultimately ceding the position to Frederick Asare.

With the 2024/25 football season on the horizon, the expectation is that the former Ghana U20 goalkeeper will secure a new club.

Contrary to earlier reports suggesting an imminent move to a Malaysian club, Danlad, in a Kessben FM interview monitored by Footballghana.com, confirmed that he has not yet signed with any club since leaving Kotoko.

"I've entrusted all negotiations to my management team, allowing me to concentrate. All proposals are currently being handled by them. As of now, I can confidently state that I haven't signed with any club. I'm not involved in the circulating rumors. My manager is abroad, so we'll make a decision upon his return," he explained.

Danlad's tenure with Asante Kotoko began in the 2016-17 season, where he made notable contributions. His representation of Ghana spans various youth levels, including the U-17, U-20, U-23 teams, and the senior national team, the Black Stars.

His achievements include securing the Ghana Premier League title in the 2021-22 season, the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2021, and the WAFU Zone B U-20 Tournament in 2020.

On an individual level, he has received the Golden Glove award at both the WAFU Zone B U-20 Tournament in 2020 and the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2021, and was named the Ghana Football Awards Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021.

In the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Danlad appeared thirteen times for Asante Kotoko.
