Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman insists he will be at the Africa Cup of Nations 2015, despite the fact that Augsburg will miss him.
The 20-year-old left-back has been Augsburg’s best player this season providing five assists from open play whilst he has also become a key element in the setup of the Black Stars since making his debut against Togo in Lome.
“But I cannot do anything. Ghana is my country. That’s football,” Baba told Bild.
The former Dreams FC skipper and Asante Kotoko player joined Augsburg from Greuther Furth in the summer. He has been on the radar of Dortmund, AC Milan, Bayer Munich and others.
Baba is expected to miss at least three weeks of Bundesliga action next year if new coach Avram Grant gives him a call-up at Equatorial Guinea.
