'I want to create competition in the Black Stars team' - Appiah

Newly-appointed Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah, is bent on leaving a rich legacy by building a formidable team that can last for the next decade.

To ensure that, he intends to create competition in the team as the first step towards reviving the fortunes of the Black Stars.

Speaking on Ghone TV FootballLegendsNights Friday indicated that creating competition in the Black Stars team is his utmost priority considering the abundant talents he has at his disposal.

According to the former trainer Al Khartoum SC he wants to see a stiff competition in the Black Stars team.

”We have lot of talents in the country and I want to do my best by making good use of them and create competition in the team.”

Added Appiah ”I feel in Ghana we can even have four players for one position”

Kwesi Appiah under his second spell with the Black Stars will lead the Black Stars in their 2019 AFCON Qualifier campaign with fixture against Ethiopia at the Baba Yara sports stadium June 3 in Ghana’s second largest city Kumasi.

The Black Stars who for the past three days have been engaged in an non residential training at the Accra sports stadium are expected to arrive in Kumasi on Monday June to continue preparations for the crucial clash with Ethiopia.
