Ghana’s world title hopeful, Richard Commey (25-2, 22 KO’s), says he will definitely become a world champion before his hanging up his gloves.

Commey, who is rated no. 3 by the WBC and no. 6 by the IBF, is on the verge of another world title shot under new promoter DiBella Promotions.

And Commey, who challenged for the world title last September but lost via a disputed decision to Robert Easter Jr. is leaving no stone unturned this time.

The James Town native in an interview with BoxingAfrica.com said:

“I will achieve what I want in boxing,” Commey declared.”My manager [Michael Amoo-Bediako] has never lost hope in me and neither has my trainer [Lawrence Carl Lokko].”

“I know there are a lot of people backing me and praying for me, so I’m just very excited. I want to show the world that I am proud to be Ghanaian and proud to be fighting for Ghana.”
