Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Leonard Tawiah has reiterated he will forever remain grateful to the club that made him who he is today.

The Al Ahli Akhaa Aley midfielder had an amazing campaign last season with the Phobians before leaving for Lebanon where he now plies his trade.

Tawiah was a rock in the middle of the pitch for the Rainbow Club last season, helping them finish a respectable third place and making it to the finals of the FA Cup, where they lost to Kotoko.

However, he left at the end of the season following the expiration of his contract.

"I can never forget Accra Hearts of Oak, the club has made me who I am today. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to serve.," he told Westgold FM in Takoradi.

The 24-year-old is having a fine season in Lebanon with Al Ahli, where he has become a key member of the club.

Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak are having a torrid time in the domestic league, having lost 4 times already and drawn a couple of matches.

They find themselves tenth on the table after 11 games in the season.

The Ghana Premier League, now the Zylofon Cash Premier League will return next Wednesday after a two-week break.
