'I will help Hearts of Oak escape relegation' - Sarfo Gyamfi

Ex Asante Kotoko welfare officer, Sarfo Gyamfi has stated that he will do everything within his power to help Hearts of Oak escape relegation.

The Phobians performance in the ongoing First Capital Plus Bank Premier League has been very poor and they are currently at the 14th position on the log sheet with 2 9points with 6 games to end the current season.

However, coming this Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day 25, the Accra based club survival in the top-flight division will be under severe scrutiny when they battle their fierce rival, Asante Kotoko who are also placed[11th] on the log sheet. A win for the Porcupine Warriors will worsen the situation for the Phobians.

And former Welfare Officer of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Gyamfi has stated he will do everything within his power to help the Phobians escape relegation.

“ I don’t think if Hearts of Oak goes to relegation it will help Ghana football and Asante Kotoko because it is only Hearts and Kotoko games that you can see the stadium full so I will do everything within my power to help Hearts escape relegation,” Sarfo Gyamfi told Montie FM.

The former Asante Kotoko player added that it will not be Hearts of Oak that will be relegated but rather a different club.

“Hearts of Oak is not going to relegation, what they can do in the league some clubs can’t do that so as a Kotoko fan I don’t want them to go to relegation. It will rather be a different club at the end of the season”.
