Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Kyere has hinted he will soon start training with the porcupine warriors despite constant reports in the local media that he has been handed an indefinite suspension by the Opoku Nti’s led administration.

Samuel Kyere was demoted to Asante Kotoko U 20 side with part of his monthly salary cut off after showing crass insubordination to the club’s hierarchy before the closure of the 2015/2016 league season.

But according to Kyere he has been invited by the Club’s team manager Mr. Adu Poku to report to training camp to begin preparations for the upcoming season.

”I was invited by my team manager to start training with my colleagues so I told him Opoku and his people said they have demoted me to the club’s U20 but he insisted I am supposed to be training with the senior side” Kyere told sportsworldghana.com in an exclusive interview.

The former Ashanti Gold SC player further disclosed that he didn’t officially receive any suspension letter from the then administration adding that it was only a part of his monthly salary which was taking off after he went on air to make some pronouncements which were astray to the rules of the club.

”It is never true that I was suspended indefinitely by the Opoku Nti’s led administration I was the one who rather wanted to terminate my contract but they never adhered to my decision to do so”..

When quizzed when he’s joining his teammates at camp said” I will soon join them because i reported to camp some few days ago but had to go back to since my mother wasn’t well, now is ok and I will soon report to the camp as instructed by team manager Adu Poku”.

The player is currently in Kumasi and is expected to commence training with Kotoko at Adarko Jachie.
