Ex-Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko has lost his job as assistant coach of Cameroon together with his boss Volker Finke.
This was after the Executive Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation decided on Friday not to renew their contracts.
Tanko has been second-in-command of the Indomitable Lions since May 2013.
Together with Finke, they recorded 12 wins, 9 draws and 7 defeats, guiding Cameroon at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Local managers Alexandre Belinga and Bonaventure Djonkep will be in charge when the Lions face Niger in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie, with the first leg scheduled in Niamey on 13 November and the return leg in Yaoundé four days later.
