If you vote for Nyantakyi, you waste your vote-Odotei

FA President aspirant, Mr Vincent Sowah Odotei has shifted his verbal attack on current FA chief Mr Kwasi Nyantakyi to a higher gear goading delegates to vote for him rather than retaining the Nyantakyi and co in power.

He declared on Happy FM’s “Paemu ka” programme calling on delegates to vote the Nyantakyi-led administration out of power saying, “If you vote for Nyantakyi, you will waste your votes.”

To the King Faisal CEO, the current demands of football administration calls for a leader who can diagnose the problems confronting the game, and in him lies those leadership qualities to take Ghana football to another level.

“Those who are saying Nyantakyi and co are deeply rooted and that cannot be voted out are enslaved by history. He promised all-inclusive leadership, but what do we see lately? just some few people at the helms of affairs” added Odotei. Nicknamed ‘Obama’ he pointed out that the skills and competence in the governance of football calls for new direction, and that could be achieved by right mind set and change of attitude.

“The game is not attractive, and the business of football is not profitable any longer, hence the need for a change to build on what the current FA has reached,” said Odotei.

He however, praised Nyantakyi for putting together a constitution that ensured some level of liberation when he took over from Dr Nyaho Tamakloe saying, “Nyantakyi was fantastic in his early days because we all felt liberated.” Responding to why his short stint with Hearts of Oak as a CEO, he revealed that the internal wrangling in the club at the time compelled him to lay down his tools and later joined Alhaji Gruza’s King Faisal.

According to Odotei, he purposed to introduce a modern finance integrated system as well as a high profile website system as the CEO of Hearts of Oak, but the leadership of Hearts of Oak did not permit him to operate in his targeted frequency. As the CEO of Faisal, he is eying the premier league title in the next three season, but pledged to give the forthcoming league a good crack. He admitted that working with his superior ,Gruza is not difficult as people perceive but very challenging.
