Inexperience cost us – Armah Senegal

Former Black Stars defender, Emmanuel Armah, popularly known as Armah Senegal has disclosed that the Black Stars’ loss to the Elephants of Cote D’Iviore in the finals of the 2015 AFCON is as a result of inexperienced players in the team.

According to Armah Senegal, experience players in the team would have won the game for Ghana within the 90 minutes without even travelling into penalty shootouts.

Speaking to sportscrusader.com after the game, Armah Senegal said, “We needed experience players in the team to have killed the game within the 90 minutes. If we had those experience players like what Cote D’Iviore had, we could have won the game easily.

They used their experience to move the game into penalty shootouts because they knew it could be anybody’s chance”.

“I will seize this opportunity to talk to our FA officials to find ways of handling the players by bringing back some of the senior players back into the team ahead of the 2017 AFCON. I believe that will be very helpful to the team”, Armah said.
