In-form Swansea star Andre Ayew is the latest to withdraw from the yet-to-be released Ghana squad for Wednesday’s friendly against Canada in Washington.
The winger is said to have suffered a knock during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at home- his fourth goal of the in eight appearances.
Ayew scored the opening goal and lasted the entire duration but felt pains after the match.
As a precautionary measure, the 25-year-old has decided to sit out the 13 October date to fully recover ahead of a busy schedule this season.
Ayew joins the growing list of injured Ghana players which includes captain Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu and Mohammed Rabiu.
