Injured Ghana striker Mensah remains positive

Watford striker Bernard Mensah insists he is remaining positive as he waits for a scan to determine the extent of a leg injury sustained while playing for Braintree Town last night.

Mensah, who joined the Conference Premier side on loan in January, was taken to the hospital after a challenge from Lincoln City’s Tom Miller, who was subsequently booked.

The 19-year-old forward has since tweeted: “Thanks for all the messages guys! Thinking positive! Don't know the extent of the injury yet! But keeping positive! Thanks again.”

The striker of Ghanaian descent who is owned by Watford has been phenomenal for the lower division side scoring three goals and providing three assists.

He is yet to be capped by Ghana or England at any level.
