Injured Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has been cleared by Juventus’ medical team to return home to his family for the Christmas holidays.
The versatile player has undergone surgery to correct a niggling knee injury which has ruled him out for up to four months.
Asamoah has been ruled out of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea as a result.
“Kwadwo Asamoah, who is recovering from an injury, has been allowed to rejoin his family in Ghana and is expected back after the 31st of December 2015,” a statement read.
Despite his predicament, Asamoah was named in the Serie A Team of the Year for the 2013/2014 season.
