Ghana international, Kasim Adams Nuhu Adams says the consistent recurring of injuries have hindered his progress since moving to the German Bundesliga.

The 34-year-old joined Hoffenheim from Young Boys of Switzerland at the beginning of the 2018/19 season and made just 15 appearances in all competitions during an injury-ravaged debut campaign.

Prior to the commencement of the 2019/20 season, Nuhu was loaned to newly-promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf.

However, the centre-back was sidelined by another injury which he has now fully recovered from.

“It hasn’t been easy for me since I came from Switzerland to Hoffenheim,” Adams admitted in an Instagram Live Chat with TV3’s Juliet Bawuah.

“They bought me at a huge price, which I haven’t been able to repay them with a performance that I like.”

He continued: “I got injured during my first few games and was out for two months and after returning, I wasn’t getting enough playing time so I decided to go on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf in order to get more playing time but I got injured again.”

Kasim Adams is hoping to rediscover his form to achieve his target for moving to the German top-flight.

“So, coming to Germany has been too hard for me in terms of injuries. It has not allowed me to play to the level I was in Switzerland but as time goes on, I know I will get my rhythm again and make it in the Bundesliga.”

Kasim Adams made 12 appearances for Fortuna Düsseldorf before the season was suspended. Fortuna hosts Paderborn when the season resumes on Saturday, May 16.
