Speaking to 90 MINUTES Newspaper after the Black Stars lost 1-0 to Montenegro at the 17,000-capacity Podgorica City Stadium, the Platanias star said: “Asamoah Gyan has always delivered for the Black Stars and I know he will do same in Brazil. He was good in Germany, better in South Africa and I believe he will be fantastic in Brazil too.”
On the Black Stars shocking 1-0 loss to the Montenegrins, Inkoom added: “We went there to win but like I always say, football is about wining, losing or drawing. But I must admit it was unfortunate for us to lose the game but we will surely bounce back. We are in a very tough group but our dream is to excel there [Brazil] and we are still on course to make Ghana very proud.”
On his club performance for Platanias in the Greek league, Inkoom added: “I am happy because I am playing consistently so far. I have been playing every week and I can say my performances have been soaring. It’s is very important to be in great shape for the World Cup and that is what I am doing with Platanias and hopefully I’ll be in a better shape in June. I am just happy to be back to my best for both club and country,” he added.
