Samuel Inkoom's bright start to his career in Portugal has come to a screeching halt after he was bizzarely sent off in a league game for Boavista on Monday night.

Inkoom received two yellow cards in a space of two minutes and was of course sent off in Boavista's match day 4 tie at home to Pacos de Ferreira and it proved costly.

The Ghanaian received his first caution on 52 minutes and a minute later, he was cautioned again meaning an automatic red card as 10-man Boavista went on to lose against Pacos for who 20 year old Ghanaian, Osei Barnes came on as an 84th minute substitute.

18 year old Portuguese midfielder, Diogo Jota took advantage of a defensive error to strike the only goal of the game on 89 minutes to hand Boavista a second defeat in the opening four games of the 2015/16 season.

Inkoom will now also be suspended for their next game away to Academica on Sunday.
