Inter Allies last Thursday named Kenichi Yashuashi as the new Head Coach of the club. However, the Japanese trainer has told management of the club to get Yaw Preko to be his assistant.

Preko and Kenichi worked closely at Hearts of Oak in the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League and later at Ifeanyi Ubah in Nigeria.

Talks between Yaw Preko and top officials of Inter Allies have progressed and in the coming days, Preko will sign a two-year contract.

Prince Owusu took charge of Inter Allies who were in the drop zone but was shown the exit with four games to spare in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League. Karim Zitio who was then Dreams FC coach was hired temporary and guided them to premier league safety.

Inter Allies finished 12th in last season’s Ghana Premier League with 40 points.
