Italian giants Inter Milan are firmly in the lead in the race to sign Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew for French giants Marseille.
According to media reports in France and Italy, Inter are winning the race to sign the left-sided player despite interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona.
Marseille are seeking $22m from clubs interested in the winger, who is the son of legend Abedi Pele.
With all the clubs said to be interested in Ayew’s signature, it is only Inter who are prepared to fork out the cash demanded by Marseille.
Even though the youngster is interested in staying with the French side he has not ruled out leaving the former European champions.
"I am looking forward to pre-season and seeing what will happen regarding my future," said Ayew at the start of the club’s pre-season.
"Marseille is my home and I'm happy to be here. But if I have to leave to improve and the club get what they are looking for, who knows?
"Premier League, Spanish Liga or Serie A are all top leagues and to play there is to play against the best in Europe."
