The experienced goalie left Accra Thursday morning for Kumasi -hours after he was discharged by the hospital.

He is expected to start his long road to recovery first with a physiotherapy programme to be supervised by team doctor, Kwaku Boateng-Arthur.

Amoako sounded so excited when he spoke with Asantekotokosc.com.

I have been discharged he said with joy evident in his voice. Its another piece of refreshing news. I cant hide my happiness said the goalie who has spent nine seasons at Kotoko.

He was sidelined by the injury toward the end of the 2014/15 season.

At the time, MRI checks revealed the extent of the injury.
