Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of WBO interim super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe, is in high spirits ahead of their April 28th showdown versus world champion Jessie Magdaleno in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Team Dogboe has departed Ghana for the U.S. as they approach the final stages of camp. There has been plenty of back and forth in the build-up to the fight, but the elder Dogboe is confident that his son’s fists will have the last word.

“Isaac keep saying that we are in God’s hands,” he told ghanacrusader.com. “Preparation has been good, it has always been good. Isaacis getting stronger every minute, every day and every night so Magdaleno is in real trouble. They are in trouble, that is why they are trying to distort things that are said and bringing up things that are not relevant. They know us and the know what is coming at them.”

Dogboe believes his son was built for the big stage. Magdaleno-Dogboe will be the main event on U.S. network giant ESPN and will be promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions, Magdanelo’s promoter. The Dogboe’s are promising fireworks.

“Top Rank knows about Isaac, so Top Rank has given us options. they know that their kid is going to lose.We are going there to knock Jessie Magdaleno out, like how we knocked Cesar Juarez out. So Magdaleno is in great trouble. I keep telling people that we are angry and hungry because this is a guy has been given too much chocolate. Our training camp is like a devil’s training camp. There is no luxury here so when I say we are angry and hungry you must understand what I mean.

“Isaac is sparring with beasts. These are middleweights sparring with Isaac so he’s going to walk through anything Magdaleno brings, break him down and knock him out. So Magdaleno should come prepared. His cornermen should be ready to stop the fight. When we reach those four corners of the ring he will surely know that the Lion of Africa, the first PPV superstar to ever come from Africa will be on his ass.”
