Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe will be great - Azumah Nelson

Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe is destined to be a world boxing champion, according to the legendary Azumah Nelson.

Dogboe (9-0, 5 KO’s) was at his devastating best on December 26, 2015, demolishing George Krampah in eight rounds to win the WBO Africa and WBA Pan Africa featherweight titles at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Under the glare of the nation’s fistic bigwigs, the 21-year old Dogboe floored his opponent in the first round, sent him to the canvas again in the fifth before Krampah refused to come out of his corner for the start of the eighth.

So dominant was Dogboe—who was fighting in Ghana for the fifth time—that he impressed none other than former three-time world champion and arguably the greatest boxer to come out of the African continent, Azumah Nelson.

“This is the second time I’m watching Isaac Dogboe and I can tell you he is very good,” Azumah said at ringside after helping to decorate the new WBO and WBA champion. “I have no doubt that he is surely going to be a world champion.

“I think he is on the right path, attacks his opponents and is not afraid to take a punch. He has all the qualities necessary to be a champion and the good part is that he is very young and can only improve and get better,” the International Boxing Hall of Famer reiterated.
