Hearts of Oak legend Ishmael Addo has lavished praise on the general captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan describing him as the greatest Ghanaian player ever.
Addo, who carved a niche for himself with his goalscoring prowess during his time with Hearts described Gyan as one of the ‘deadliest’ strikers he has seen.
The former Sunderland striker holds the record as Ghana’s leading scorer with 51 goals, and has since established himself in the folklore of Ghana football.
In an interview with TV3, Addo was full of praise for the Ghana’s all top scorer at the World Cup.
“He is one of the deadliest strikers I have seen and a good chap,”
“For me he is the best Ghana football has ever seen trust me,” he added.
Gyan 34, has been inactive since picking up an injury whiles playing in the Indian Super League.
Ishamel Addo on the other hand has hanged up his boots since 2006.
