Ismaily SC new boy, Richard Baffour has told SportsWorldGhana he is enjoying life at the Egyptian Premier League side.
The former Bechem United defender joined Ismaily last month and is fast becoming an integral part of the Brazilians defensive set up having featured in their previous two games, the last of which was an impressive goalless draw against Egyptian giants Al-Ahly.

Speaking exclusively to SportsWorldGhana.com from his base in Ismailia, Baffour, 26, expressed delight at his progress with his new side so far.

“First of all, I thank God for a wonderful opportunity like this”, he said.

“I feel Very good because I just joined and things are good with me and all the players here”, the experienced center back added.

Sharing his expreience, Baffour said, “Ismaily SC is a very big club here in Egypt. I was very nervous at first but now am ok with them. The atmosphere at training even will make you come always.
No insult from coaches, always encouraging players even when it’s not good. I think I like this place”.

But despite his fine start to life in Egypt, the defender is not ready to be complacent in his endeavour.

“I have not really sealed a place in the team. the Coach decides what he wants, my job is to be ready anytime am selected to play”, Richard Baffour stated, adding that, “I have not yet set any targets for myself because I just don’t know what tomorrow brings.
Am only praying for a good season with the club”.

Baffour further expressed hope of playing for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars in the future.

“It’s every player’s hope to play for his country. But for now am really not thinking about black stars. I think the time for it will come”, he concluded.
