The match saw both sides test the goalkeepers equally, with four shots on target and four crucial saves made on either side. Despite these opportunities, neither team could break the deadlock, leaving them to share the points.
Speaking after the game, Afriyie
“I’m a former player of Nations, so some of the fans booed me while others encouraged me but it’s all part of the game. Both sides performed well so I believe it’s a fair result” he said.
Asamoah Boateng joined Hearts of Oak in the summer transfer window following a stellar performance for Nations FC last season.
The Ghanaian giants will prepare for a challenging clash against Aduana Stars, who are struggling to find their rhythm after four matches into the season.
