Head coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant says he is not bothered by Ghana’s inability to beat Canada but was rather delighted with the opportunity to try out other players.
The Black Stars needed a 45th minute striker from inform Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah to avoid a defeat in Washington.
The build up to the game was heightened by the invitation of four new players, Ofosu Ayeh, Kwadwo Poku, Lloyd Sam and Gideon Baah for the game.
Despite the fresh additions to the ever growing Black Stars team they were unable to find a goal in the second half to secure victory against their Canadian opponent.
But head coach Avram Grant says he was satisfied as the game gave him a platform to try out certain players he had monitored for some time.
“It was good friendly game for us. It was a good opportunity for us to see other players,” Grant said after the game
“Off course we want to win like in all games but we used this friendly game to try a lot of things and it gave me a lot to think about.
“It was very important that other players who were normally not in the team to get an opportunity today.”
