JAM Cup: Patron SC book semi-final ticket after Miracle FC victory

Patron Sporting Club will continue their quest for glory in the Jordan Anagbla Memorial Cup after beating Miracle FC.

A save by Patron SC’s goalkeeper in the penalty shootout ensured that his side moved to the penultimate stage of the competition with a 5-4 win over Madina-based Miracle FC.

After a pulsating goalless draw, the game headed to penalty shootouts and the players of Patron SC converted all their kicks to advance to the semi-final.

Once again it was the performance of star midfielder Samuel Mantey which wowed the crowd that witnessed the game.

The youngster has impressed in the competition winning four MotMs from six games and is likely to be named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Patron made it to the quarters after beating Rapid FC and Samuel Mantey was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Standing between Patron SC and the final is Police Nationals who are also determined to win the tournament.

The encounter between the two sides is set for Saturday, May 11 at the Nungua Town Park

The JAM Cup is being held in honour of former GFA vice president, late Jordan Anagbla.
