German-born Ghanaian winger Jamie Leweling put up a commendable performance, providing an assist during VfB Stuttgart's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Leweling, who played the entire match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, made a significant contribution to Stuttgart's sole goal in the 68th minute. Despite the visitors' dominance in possession, Real Madrid's attacking prowess ultimately decided the outcome of the match.

Real Madrid took the lead just 20 seconds into the second half through Kylian Mbappe. However, Stuttgart responded in the 68th minute when Leweling skillfully sent a ball back into the six-yard box from a corner, setting up an unmarked Deniz Undav, who calmly headed it past Thibaut Courtois to level the score.

Madrid regained control in the 83rd minute, as Antonio Rudiger rose high to nod in Luka Modric's corner, giving the hosts a 2-1 lead. Brazilian youngster Endrick then sealed the victory in stoppage time, beating goalkeeper Alexander Nübel with a strike from the edge of the box.

Stuttgart will now turn their attention to their upcoming Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Dortmund on September 22.
