The Accra Sports Stadium witnessed something new on Sunday, February 21 when Hearts of opened their 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League campaign with a tough duel at home against New Edubiase United.

Whilst reeling through the supporters who had come to the stadium to cheer their teams to victory, www.sports24gh.com’s camera spotted a cross-section of the VIP has been occupied by Japanese in Ghana who had come to give their support to the Hearts of Oak coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

When Kenichi came out from the tunnel, there was a huge shout from these Japanese at the stadium and the coach reciprocated by giving them a passionate wave shout.

www.sports24gh.com realized that some of the Japanese supporters wore branded jerseys of Accra Hearts of Oak and they followed the team in all spheres of the game.

In the end, substitute striker Mustapha Essuman gave Hearts of Oak their deserving win to quench the thirst of the Japanese community who came to support their home boy (Kenichi Yatsuhashi).
