Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp’s hopes of ending the season in England with an FA Cup trophy was dashed on Sunday after Leicester City was dumped out of the knock-out competition by Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old lasted the full 90 minutes on the pitch, but could not save Leicester from the fury of Villa, who needed two second half goals from Leandro Bacuna and Scott Sinclair to record a 2-1 win and progress to the quarter final stage.
The German-born Ghanaian and his Leicester City’s teammates were dreaming of winning the FA Cup since the club is lying at the foot of the English Premier League after 25 match-days and are set to be relegated.
Jeffrey Schlupp has scored 3 goals in 23 appearances for Leicester City in all competitions this season.
