Jerry Akaminko arrives in London to see specialist

Turkish-based defender Jerry Akaminko has arrived in London to continue with his rehabilitation of an ankle injury which kept him out of the 2014 World Cup.

The 26-year-old is in the final stages of his recovery from the nasty injury which saw him miss a chance to make the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup.

Akaminko is expected to return to full scale training with Eskiserhirspor by the middle of September.

He has been limited to gym and pool sessions to help build his muscles to be strong enough to withstand the rigorousness of full scale.

The former Heart of Lions man is expected to visit a specialist and undergo some more therapy sessions during his stay in London.

His imminent return will also be a source of joy for Ghana as he will be needed for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
