Jets in Europe for Essien, Drogba and Eto

Chief Mike Adenuga, the chairman of Globacom, has flown two aircraft to Europe to fetch three players who are nominees for the Africa Footballer of the Year Award scheduled for Abuja on Thursday.

One aircraft will fly in Didier Drogba, the Ivorian captain who plays for Chelsea. The same plane will also take Michael Essien the Ghanaian sensation who also plays for Chelsea. The other aircraft will fly in Cameroun?s Eto?O Fills who is based in Barcelona. Eto?O, winner in the past two events is expected with Barcelona President Juan Lapporta,his son ,lawyer Maria mallase who will add colour to the big show in Abuja. Information gathered last night revealed that, Mike Itemuagbor of Pamodzi Sports Marketing is already in London to fly in with the Chelsea duo of Drogba and Essien.

?Mike was in Cairo and met the players. He is back to London to bring them in the private jet of Chief Adenuga who has stationed two aircraft for the event,? one football official said yesterday, confirming the statement from Harry Iwuala of Globacom earlier in the week.

?Globacom wants the award to be grand and wants all the nominees present at the show unlike some events of the past where the nominees were absent.
