Newly appointed Hearts Corporate Affairs Manager Joe Addo has promised to transform the club that shot him to fame as a footballer and make it like one of the top European clubs.
The ex- defender who captained all the national teams from the Black Starlets to Black Stars and featured for top sides in the USA, Portugal and Germany hinted that Hearts is a great club with many achievements and he will take advantage of the laurels of the club to expand the supporters’ base and attract sponsors.
“I want to make Hearts of Oak like Real Madrid in Spain, Manchester United in England or Bayern Munich in Germany. We have the resources and we can make it” he said.
Addo who was educated in Ghana and the USA said he will bring on board all old stars of Hearts who have the potential to market the club.
According to Hearts Managing Director Gerald Ankrah, the former Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak in their quest to build a formidable administrative team have appointed former Black Stars defender, Joe Addo as the club's Corporate Affairs Manager.
At the unveiling ceremony of Mr.Ankrah, the Board chairman of the club TogbeAfede made an announcement that the club will appoint a Corporate Affairs Manager.
Accra Hearts of Oak and Joe Addo have had primary discussions about his appointment and both parties reached an agreement; he is expected to commence work in the coming days.
Some of Addo’s playing mates were Emmanuel Armah, the late Shamo Quaye, Ablade Kuma, Ezekiel Alamu and Anyetei Sowah.
He was an exceptional defender who wanted to play it clean like Kuuku Dadzie and earned the name “Gentleman Defender”.
Joe Addo was appointed an Ambassador by GTV during the 2014 FIFA World Cup as an analyst together with C.K. Akunnor and Augustine Arhinful. Their expert analysis proved that the young old stars have something to offer and the appointed of Addo is the beginning of great things to come in the revolution of Ghana Football.
