Ghanaian forward John Antwi registered his name on the score-sheet in Egypt again, as he scored for Misr El Makassa, despite a 2-1 defeat to his fromer side Al Ahly.

The Ghanaian shot the visitors into the lead in the 27th minute when the referee awarded Makassa a penalty after John Antwi was fouled by Al Ahly keeper Mohamed El-Shennawy. The Ghanaian forward converted from the spot to hand the visitors the lead.

Makassa piled more and more pressure on the hosts following their opening goal and grew confidence as the game went on.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly responded strongly as the second half started and almost leveled the scoreline in the 54th minute but Moroccan forward Walid Azaro’s header was disallowed by the referee for offside.

The seven times African Champions' hard work paid dividends around 10 minutes later when Abdallah El-Said’s cross was met by Junior Ajayi, who had a brilliant first touch to control the ball and then slotted it in to make it 1-1.

In the 84th minute, Ajayi was through on goal and went one-on-one with Makassa keeper. The Nigerian was completely unselfish as he laid off the ball to a free Walid Soliman, who fired into the empty net to complete Al Ahly’s comeback.

The Ghanaian leads the goal scorers chart with 12 goals from 16 games and lasted the entire duration on Sunday night.
