John Boye has confidence in Black Stars

John Boye has been justifying the inclusion of all 26 players in Ghana’s provisional World Cup squad currently rounding up preparations in the Netherlands in readiness for the Mundial in Brazil.

The Rennes defender has no doubt whatsoever that they are the best group of Ghanaian players at this point and is confident they will make the country proud.

“If we lack experience, I don’t think the coach would invite us into the team. We are good enough to represent Ghana and we have all played for the country in big tournaments already,” John Boye said from their Holland training camp.

“Now we are here, they should have confidence in us and pray and support us. The coach knows why he has selected these group of players. We have a quality squad, so we can do really well,” Boye continued.

The France based defender can’t wait to make his World Cup debut, but is adamant expectations are so high among his countrymen back home in Ghana, that’s the only pressure the Black Stars carry ahead of the commencement of action in Natal on June 16.

“Everybody is expecting the cup in Ghana, but we all know it’s going to be very competitive especially our group. But I am confident in the ability of the players to put up our best to go all the way,” John Boye said.
