French Ligue 2 side FC Metz are sweating over the fitness of key defender John Boye who suffered an injury in Tuesday's League Cup win over Lens.
The Ghana centre-back was replaced in the 15th minute as his side drew 1-1 with the home side in regulation.
But Metz ended up advancing to the next stage by winning 5-3 on penalties.
Boye remains a doubt to face Lens at the Stade Saint-Symphorien in a league match.
Head coach Frédéric Antonetti is pessimistic of having the Ghana international available.
"It's not a breakdown. It's not as bad as that, but for the meeting on Saturday, it will be complicated," he said.
