Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Johnathan Opoku scored an impressive finish to propel VVV Venlo to a narrow victory over Emmen in the Dutch second-tier league on Friday.
The 26-year-old has now netted 13 goals in 33 appearances for Venlo, who are chasing automatic promotion to the Eredivisie.
Opoku came close to netting the opening goal in the first-half but was stopped by the visitors keeper.
But he consequently scored the solitary goal of the game six minutes after the interval.
The striker maintained his composure inside the box and resisted a challenge from an opposition defender unleashing a thunderous drive from just outside of the area.
