Jonathan Mensah, a USA based Ghanaian young football player/coach has donated sports kits to Barca Kids, a juvenile club based at Mamprobi in Accra. The items include jerseys, balls, shoes and boots.
Mensah advised the young players to be disciplined, respectful, work hard, work on time and obey their parents and all adults. He charged them to take education and hygiene very seriously.
Felix Ampah, founder and Technical Director of Barca Kids thanked Mensah for his gesture and promised to use them wisely as they pray for the good Lord Almighty to enrich the life of Jonathan Mensah.
Jonathan Mensah played for Saint Stars at Mamprobi and played for his High School and University in the USA. He now combines business and sports.
He wished to become a professional footballer and that has been the dream he has been nurturing for a long time, but education and experience in the United States of America (USA) has widened his horizon and has different missions and visions to fulfil.
After losing his both parents, he saw that there is no one than himself and his God, so he has been praying and training very hard for life to be better.
He still loves to play football with his friends, but now on a leisure level.
“I am now a businessman and a sportsman, I deal in many things, I want to see the kids of Africa live better, so I want to offer my quota to support our talented kids. You know Africa is blessed with sports and entertainment talent, we need to support each other for a better world” he told Yours Truly.
Jonathan Mensah was a member of the Chorkor Blue Whales Beach Soccer Club. He also featured for Mamprobi Rising Stars and BBC Sharks FC in the low tier Community Football division.
