Ghana international Jonathan Mensah has expressed his readiness to help Columbus Crew do better in the upcoming Major League Soccer season.
The 28-year-old defender played an instrumental role for his side in their run to the semifinals of the Eastern Conference last season.
Speaking ahead of the commencement the new season in March, the defender who was named the Black and Golds defender of the year in 2018 has pledged to help improve the club’s standing in 2019.
“My individual preparation was better last year,” he told Massive Report.
“The experience of 2017 helped. I knew the league better and I could prepare accordingly. I brought everything I had and went to each practice trying to do my best.
“As a team, we just want to take it from where we left off last year. We just want to keep moving forward and improving. I can improve every aspect of my game and that’s the goal. We want to achieve more.” he added
The former Granada player is in his third season at the club after joining from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in 2017.
