In-form Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah says he and his teammates want to lay Uganda’s bogey to rest in Saturday’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Cranes managed to hold the Black Stars to a 1-1 draw in the first leg match played at the Kumasi Sports Stadium in September.
Tonny Mawejje handed Uganda a surprise lead before Andre Ayew pulled Ghana level from the spot.
Mensah believes they have the credentials to outshine the hosts in the return fixture and prove they are slightly ahead of them.
“We have another opportunity to gain three points and that’s where the focus should be,” Mensah told GHANASoccernet.com
“We know what the Cranes are capable of, they came here and got a point and now we have an opportunity to redeem ourselves.
“We will give our all to secure qualification as soon as possible.”
