Jones Welcomes Meteors Duo

Cecil Jones Attuquayefio is moving on steadily with preparations for the only Zone III slot for the 2008 All-African Games competition despite the absence of some foreign-based players.

The Olympic team coach has welcomed two foreign-based players - Samuel Yeboah and Bernard Yao Kumordzi to camp for the first leg final game against Nigeria at home.

Ghana's squad called up for the game against Nigeria in a crucial All-Africa Games final round qualifier have been preparing in Sunyani for Sunday's game.

Despite the refusal of some European clubs to release some players, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio and his backroom staff remain absolutely confident in their players and Ghana's chances against the Nigerians.

The Nigerians arrive in Ghana on Wednesday for the game. The winner over the two-leg tie qualifies from Zone III to play the men's football competition at the All-African Games to be hosted by Algeria.
