Ghana international Jordan Ayew has arrived in the USA with Crystal Palace for their preseason training tour.

Despite attracting interest from Leicester City, the Black Stars forward has been named in the squad for the trip to the United States.

The Foxes, who made a quick return to the Premier League, are said to have targeted Ayew as a potential replacement for Republic of Ireland striker Thomas Christopher Cannon, who has emerged as a top transfer target for several clubs.

Cannon, 21, is on the radar of three clubs keen to sign the forward on a loan deal this summer. Sheffield United, West Brom, and Stoke City, who are in the English Championship, are said to be interested in the Irish forward.

Leicester City will sanction a move for Cannon if interested clubs are able to cover a significant portion of his wages.

Ayew has been an integral member of the Crystal Palace team since joining the club in 2018. The Ghana international initially joined on loan, but his move was made permanent only a year later.

Last season, he scored four goals and provided eight assists in 37 appearances for Palace. Since joining the club, the Ghanaian attacker has accumulated a total of 23 goals and 22 assists in 211 appearances.

Meanwhile, Ayew has reportedly attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
