English Club Aston Villa have been sold to a Chinese business man after the team’s demotion to the Championship.
Villa suffered relegation after finishing bottom on the table at the end of the 2015/16 English Premier League season.
The acquisition of the Birmingham-based Club came after owner Randy Lerner, a US billionaire agreed to relinquish the Club to Recon Group, owned and controlled by Chinese man Tony Jiantong Xia in an undisclosed fee.
Lerner is reported to have faced lose since taking up the Club in 2006 with their latest demotion to the lower-tier also being singled as a major factor.
Ayew who joined the English Club this season from French Ligue 1 outfit Lorient will thus be working under a new owner.
The Ghanaian international was arguably Villa’s best player at the end of the season having bagged 7 EPL goals for the Club.
The 24-year-old is reportedly on the radar of West Ham United and Bournemouth.
