Jordan Ayew visited Marseille for their final win of the year

Jordan Ayew was back at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday to cheer his former team Olympique Marseille and his brother Andre to a vital win over Lille.

Les Phoceens opened up a three-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 after posting a 2-1 win going into the winter break.

Jordan witnessed the win at his former home grounds after tasting defeat with Lorient a day before despite being on the scoresheet.

It was an emotional return for the Ghana forward who has fared well since leaving OM at the start of the season.

Jordan plays more regularly nowadays at Lorient and has six league goals to his credit so far this season.

He maintains a healthy relationship with officials and players of the club despite his departure.

Jordan’s presence at the Velodrome on Sunday has even sparked talks of a possible future return to the club, especially with Lorient likely to suffer demotion at the end of the campaign.

The young striker will join his brother Andre for a flight back home to Ghana where they are expected to link up with the Black Stars to begin preparations for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
