Jordan and Andre score in 8 goal thriller

Ghana internationals Jordan and Andre Ayew both scored for their respective clubs in what was a thrilling contest between Marseille and Lorient in the French Ligue 1.

Lorient beat Marseille 5-3 away from home to give themselves a real chance of staying in the French top division. And the magnificent performance of Lorient revolved around Jordan who had arguably the best game of his career.

Jordan, the younger of the two Ayew brothers scored a brace while Andre scored one of the consolation goals for Marseille who are now totally out of the title race.

Jordan was first to open the floodgates when he scored as early as the 9th-minute against his former side. He got his second and Lorient’s fourth in the 84th minute while Andre got his goal in the 58th minute for Marseille.

Andre who is most likely to leave Marseille at the end of the season was hoping he could bow out with at least a league title but that seems impossible at the moment.
